Chapter Summary

  • v2-8: Joy and faith in suffering makes you stronger, but doubt makes you unstable

  • v9-11: Humble people ought to be proud, and worldly riches will fade away

  • v12-18: Trials help build perseverance. Don't blame temptations on God, rather every good and perfect gift comes from Him.

  • v19-21: Be quick to listen and slow to jump to conclusions. Anger never produces the results God wants in your life, so hold fast to the Word.

  • v21-27: Don't just read the Bible, dig deep into each passage and apply it to your life.
